+ What are the hours of operation?
Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday, 8 a.m. – Noon
Weekend and after hours support for occupational care will be provided by shift EMTs and EMRs.
+ How do I schedule an appointment?
You can make personal medical and occupational care appointments over the phone or online by calling 360-371-1307 or visiting the patient portal.
+ Can I make an appointment during my work/shift hours?
Yes. If you need to use the Cherry Point Clinic during your work/shift hours, please refer to the below details:
- Exempt employees – Please work with your supervisor/manager to ensure proper notice/covering for your position.
- Non-exempt hourly employees –
- In order to maintain your privacy, you are not required to tell your supervisor/manager the reason for your visit if it’s for a personal medical need. However, time taken for non-work related appointments are noted on your timesheet as unpaid time off, and employees must obtain prior approval from their supervisor/manager. We encourage you to give your supervisor/manager as much notice as possible when it is a non-emergency personal medical situation so he/she has adequate time to consider the request. However, if a personal emergency situation arises, you are expected to notify your supervisor/manager as soon as possible.
- You cannot use sick time for routine personal medical appointments. When possible, these should be scheduled on your time off.

+ Who can use the Cherry Point Clinic?
Premise Health provides healthcare services to all BP employees and contractors. This includes personal medical care along with occupational services (i.e. injuries, illnesses and chemical exposures occurring on site at Cherry Point) and urgent or emergent care.
+ Who operates the Clinic?
The Cherry Point Clinic is operated by Premise Health . Premise Health conducts non-occupational primary care services for BP employees — something BP cannot do on its own. Therefore, you are able to receive both medical care and occupational care services at the Cherry Point Clinic through Premise Health.

+ Why does the Clinic provide more than occupational services?
The health and well-being of BP employees is a top priority to the company. BP is unable to provide both occupational and medical care alone, so Premise Health stepped in to help provide BP employees access to all services. Therefore, BP employees to have access to convenient primary care, urgent care and occupational care. Premise Health provides all of these services to BP employees. Premise Health partners with employees to shape a healthy work environment and build a culture of health and well-being.
+ Does the Clinic take my insurance?
For all occupational health services and work-related injuries and illnesses, there is no charge. For personal medical care, Premise Health is considered an in-network medical provider for the BP Medical Plan. As with any provider, co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles may apply based on the service and the benefit offered, while preventive care is covered at 100% with no co-pay. For non-BP Medical Plan insurance, Premise Health may be considered in-network, but employees should check with their insurance carrier and file claims for appropriate reimbursement. Note that if you are an active employee enrolled in the Cherry Point HealthPlus or Health+Savings Option, primary care appointments are at a reduced copay of $10 per visit after deductible (if applicable) at the Cherry Point Clinic.
+ What form of payment is accepted when paying the copay?
Premise Health accepts credit and debit cards as forms of payment. Cash and checks are not accepted at the clinic at the time of service.
+ How can I obtain over-the-counter medications?
Over-the-counter (OTC) medications are provided on an individual basis, at no cost to the patient and under the guidance of Premise Health. If a primary care visit is more appropriate for your condition, the provider may recommend this. A request for OTC medication requires the employee to sign a patient self-selection form.
+ Am I required to use the Clinic?
For any work-related injury or illness, you must follow the work-related injury process for care, which includes an initial evaluation at the Cherry Point Clinic. Although the clinic is a patient-centered medical home and Premise Health offers convenient onsite primary, urgent and acute care services for you, you can choose to seek care outside the Cherry Point Clinic as desired (i.e. maintain your existing primary care provider). Premise Health is considered an in-network medical provider for the BP Medical Plan.
+ If I currently have a Primary Care Provider (PCP) but wish to share my records with the Clinic, what do I do?
You can request that your primary care provider share your records with Premise Health by completing your provider’s record sharing process. Additionally, you may request your records from Premise Health be shared with a community primary care provider or specialist.
+ Is my health information secure? Does BP have access to my personal health information?
Your personal health information is confidential, and your data is kept secure. Premise Health operates in accordance with HIPAA and works diligently to protect all health records. We can’t share any personal health information with your employer or anyone else without your permission unless it pertains to a work-related health injury. Premise Health also operates through a private network and software systems that cannot be accessed by other members or company staff.
